REBEL BOOB

Rebel Boob is a play about breast cancer – but it’s not really about breast cancer.

Inspired by Director’s Angela El-Zeind's own breast cancer, and based on interviews she conducted with 21 women affected by the same disease, this post-verbatim performance uses prose, choreography, and film, to explore themes of identity, sex, resilience, body image, grief and relationships.

This play is not about chemotherapy and it’s not about death (though we may talk about it a bit!); this play is about life, re-evaluating who you are, living in the present, and the unexpected silver linings along the way. It is a raw, funny, & beautiful insight into what can happen when life as you know it stops & then starts again.

Please note that themes in this work may be triggering for some people.
