We’re Everyone Here, a new community arts programme based in West Cumbria.

We believe creativity is for everyone and can be explored, expressed and enjoyed in many ways. It’s a powerful tool that brings value to people’s lives and can inspire real change in the place we call home.

To help local communities bring to life the kind of creative activity they want to experience on their own doorstep, we’re establishing a citizens-led vision for creative activities and events here in West Cumbria in partnership with local people and organisations.

Today is World Day of Theatre for Children and You

Today is World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People and I couldn’t be more proud of developing new work which offers children and families their earliest experience of the theatre. Last week I had my youngest ever audience member who was just 10 weeks old!

Let’s keep working towards a world where all children can experience the magic of the theatre!

Introducing the ‘A Dance for Us’ team: Part 1!

Introducing the ‘A Dance for Us’ team: Part 1!

Rachel is an actor-musician based in St Leonard’s-on-Sea. Recent theatre work includes ‘The Mousetrap’ 70th anniversary tour, ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ West End, ‘Amélie’ West End, ‘Once’ New Wolsey, ‘A Christmas Carol’ Northern Stage. As a cellist Rachel has played with artists such as Sinead O’Connor, Michael Bublé, Gary Barlow and Muse. She is part of two Hastings bands- Our Royal Displeasure and Saints on Sea.

Her most recent and proudest achievement was the birth of her baby girl, Bonnie, who is six months old. Rachel is so grateful to be working on a project that is very dear to her heart, combining motherhood with music, dance and storytelling.

Are you a carer of a baby aged 1 or under living in Brighton & Hove? We our sharing our latest work this Friday as part of our residency at Brighton Dome’s Anita’s Room Residency Space. Free to attend but please register to book by emailing katie@katiedale-everettdance.co.uk

Contemporary dance and live cello music combine in A Dance For Us, a dance theatre show for babies aged 0-12m and their caregivers. A restorative, immersive experience where you and baby can be soothed and inspired, celebrating the unique relationship forged in the first year of life.

This time we will be joined by wonderful cellists Rachel Frances Dawson and Tara Franks.

All sessions are held at the Stade Hall, Hastings and are free for babies 1 year old and younger and their carers.
